Want to know a little bit more about me before you decide I am the right fit for you, your child or your family?
I completely understand.
Here is some information about me that may help add some light to your image of me.
I’m Heather Mason, a licensed professional counselor serving the Permian Basin. I offer individual counseling to both adolescents and adults struggling with life and role transitions, major life changes, and other challenges. People come to therapy for many reasons. Some feel stuck, overwhelmed, want help with a specific problem, or are in the midst of a life crisis. Others seek relief from anxiety, depression, and emotional distress.
My Professional Background:
I am a licensed professional counselor with over 8 years of experience working in mental health. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression and trauma. I work with individuals, teens and families. For the last 8 years, I have worked for Midland ISD providing counseling services to children and adolescents. I believe that talking can be helpful and needed but you will also find me implementing interventions such as art, play, sensory modalities and mindfulness to facilitate change. As a counselor, I strive to help my clients access their strengths to help them feel better and achieve their goals in therapy and in life.
